Thirteen Constellations • Thirteen Moons • Twenty-Eight Days
Day 0 — The Neutral Day outside all months — Spring Equinox — New Year (April 1)
Our ancestors read time by the sun, moon, and stars. The lunar cycle spans ~28 days, mirroring the menstrual cycle. There are 13 full moons in a year, 13 constellations in the zodiac belt.
The year should not begin in cold, dark winter. It begins in spring — when life resurrects, flowers bloom, and nature awakens.
Ophiuchus, the Serpent-Bearer, lies between Scorpius and Sagittarius. This constellation was removed to create 12 equal divisions — but the sun passes through 13 constellations, not 12.
North America was called "Turtle Island" — its shell split into 13 segments for the 13 moons, encircled by 28 scutes for the days per cycle. Nature is mathematical.
